President's Message
There are two things a person can feel when he is being given the designation of the President of Leo Club of Juhu, or any Leo Club for that matter.
First, immense happiness and pride, and second, nervousness to the point which makes you lose weight: A win-win situation!
Yes, I am not fearless. But, no leader is! I am here, at this platform, to learn, just like all my fellow Leos. And, what I have learned is that leadership is not about a title or a designation. It is about impact, influence and inspiration. And as the president of Leo Club of Juhu, I aim to help my fellow Leos to translate their vision into reality, to help them achieve targets they never thought they could, while in the process, learning myself. Because, I believe that, once you imbibe the traits of a leader in you, experiences and opportunities follow automatically!
Hence this year, let’s “Learn to Lead and Lead to Learn”!!
And no, Leo Club of Juhu isn't just about learning how to become a leader! Because no matter how disciplined I wish to be, I agree that that would be boring. Being a Leo is about getting to know that there are worse realities than those i have endured, but I am doing my part to help people who aren't as lucky as I am. In other words: Service. The other aspect of Leoism caters to getting out of your comfort zone, socialising and most importantly, having FUN. In other words: Fellowship.
So all in all, im glad and thankful to the people who contributed in 1971 in bringing Leo Club of Juhu to its existence, because if it wasnt for this club, I would not be the person I am today.
